The pre-application process for the 2023 High School Summer Internship Program is now open! Students (16+ years old) must complete the online pre-application to be included in GTRI’s 2023 applicant pool, which is the first step in the internship application process. All students must complete the GTRI pre-application in its entirety by Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. to be considered.

The purpose of the student profile and pre-application is to match high school students with a GTRI job opportunity. Once a student completes and submits the pre-application, the information will be visible to GTRI faculty/staff who have internship opportunities. Once the GTRI faculty/staff member identifies a student as a potential intern, he/she will contact the student by email and/or phone for an interview. It is not unusual for multiple applicants to interview for a single position. As a result, interviews can take several weeks. Completion of the pre-application does not guarantee employment.

About the Scholarship

The Purpose of the Grace Woodruff Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarships to deserving high school graduating seniors intending to pursue a course of study at either a two-year or four-year educational institution.

The Grace Woodruff Scholarship Fund will award $1,000 to three girls in each state: South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. NOTE: Scholarship funds will be awarded to the student upon evidence of registration in an accredited higher educational institution.

General Instructions
1. Deadline for the scholarship application is May 1, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. EST (No exceptions).
2. Refer to the application process below for a list of the supporting documents needed (i.e., reference forms, evidence of GPA, etc.) Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Criteria and eligibility

  1. Applicant must be a senior high school girl in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia who agrees to complete the IAB HOPE Mentoring Workshop and participate in IAB virtual events during the 2022-2023 school year.
    2. Applicant must have at least a 2.5-grade point average (or a “C” average).
    3. Applicant must demonstrate community involvement, dedication to academic achievement, and commitment to attend college.
    4. All applicants must have or commit to earning 10 hours of community service.
    5. Applicant will receive extra points on the scholarship application for having an intended college major in Education.
    6. Applicants must be willing to attend the scholarship recognition ceremony virtually hosted by IAB.

This is the first workshop for Fall 2021 I Am BEAUTIFUL GIRLS e-Leadership Development Program (click this link to learn more and register for the program). The workshop is open to ALL girls ages 12-18 with a female adult. IAB is partnered with My Style Matters to bring to you this important informational workshop.

Preventing Breast Cancer in women can start as early as adolescence. Join the workshop to get tips on prevention and early detection, and the importance of collecting family history.

Topics to be covered include Breast Cancer Impact, Breast Cancer Prevention, Risk Factors, Early Detection, Taking Action.

Due to COVID-19 concerns and necessary precautions, G.I.R.L.S., our traditional 8-month in-person program will be condensed and offered virtually via Zoom. Groups will meet separately based on their ages for 1-hour each week for 12 weeks. Additionally, special topics such as financial literacy and acting will be offered alternating Saturday mornings.

G.I.R.L.S. (Gaining Insight & Real Life Skills) e-Leadership Program (e-LP) is a 4-month enrichment program designed to build character, self-esteem, and develop strong leadership skills for girls ages 6 – 18.  The program offers interactive life-skills workshops, group mentoring, and STEM lessons & career exploration. G.I.R.L.S. e-LP aims to support the social-emotional development of girls at an early age to foster confidence and strong leadership skills.

Each year I AM B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. hosts Pink Pajama Jam (PPJ), the best slumber party ever! PPJ20 will be an epic two-day experience where girls and mothers/guardians/mentors will have the rare opportunity to engage in experiential learning of critical leadership principles that will strengthen them as leaders in their schools, social circles, and community. We are excited to host PPJ20 Rock Eagle Georgia 4-H Conference Camp, Eatonton, on March 13-15th, 2020.
