BUFORD, Ga., February 27, 2016 – In recognition of Women’s History Month, I Am B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. is running its BEAUTIFUL 9 virtual fundraising campaign in March to raise money for its programs that empower females by building self-esteem and leadership potential.
From March 1- 31 I Am B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. is challenging people to donate in increments of $9 for each letter in the word beautiful and to also tell nine other people and encourage them to donate the same amount. The donations will be collected on the organization’s website and social media accounts Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
The nine letters of B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. in the nonprofit’s name forms an acronym of the lessons the organization teaches females to be: Brave, Energetic, Unique, Tenacious, Important, Fabulous, Unequaled and Loved. Co- Founder and Executive Director Dr. Tina Woodard explains whatshe hopes the acronym will inspire.
“BEAUTIFUL 9 is a celebration of all nine beautiful words as well as an avenue for everyone to give generously in support of the beautiful word that most resonates with them and that they wish to support girls and women in developing and incorporating into their lives,” Woodard said. The goal of the BEAUTIFUL 9 campaign is to raise $25,000 to fund their programs, which include GIRLS Leadership Program, HOPE Mentoring Program and Parents CARE Network. “We are responsible for building a better tomorrow through our young people today.
Donations and gifts help us meet this awesome responsibility,” said Co- Founder and Executive Director Dr. Zenobia Edwards.
