About Us

I Am B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.™ is an award-winning educational enrichment nonprofit organization dedicated to building self-esteem and leadership capability in girls and women of all ages and stages. Our programs support the achievement of physical, mental, social, emotional, spiritual, and economic success. Our organization engages girls in interactive learning experiences designed to build self-esteem and strong leadership skills to help girls and women live B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. lives inside and out.

Our B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. has little to do with lipstick and expensive wardrobe. Instead, we focus on building self-esteem and awareness by shifting the typical paradigm and teaching girls and women that what they have inside makes them beautiful, special and unique. B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. is an acrostic meaning Brave, Energetic, Assertive, Unique, Tenacious, Important, Fabulous, Unequaled and Loved.

Our Mission

The mission of I Am B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.™ (Brave, Energetic, Assertive, Unique, Tenacious, Important, Fabulous, Unequaled, Loved) is to foster self-esteem and develop the leadership capability of girls and women of ALL ages and stages. Our mission is inclusive and we reject any notion of injustice, intolerance, or inequity on the basis of race, color, gender, socio-economic or academic status, nationality, body size, or religion. We believe in the value of diversity and use the full measure of our platform to empower and educate our constituents toward B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. Action.

Founders

B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.™ Founders Drs. Tina Woodard & Zenobia Edwards are Co-Founders and Co-Chief Executive Officers of I Am, Inc., an award-winning nonprofit organization dedicated to building self-esteem and leadership skills in girls and women of all ages and stages. Zenobia and Tina are biological sisters who were inspired by their parents, retired school teachers, to invest their time, talent, and treasure in developing youth. Today, Zenobia and Tina both work in education and are passionate about “Empowering Girls and Women to Live B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. Lives…Inside & Out!”

Tina Woodard, Ed.D., PHR

Dr. Woodard is a chief learning officer in higher education with more than fifteen years of career experience in leadership, organizational development, talent management, and quality engineering in the fields of education, government, and manufacturing. She holds a Professional in Human Resources certification (PHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute. She also holds a certificate in Local Government & Executive Management from the University of Georgia. She earned both a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Human Resource Development from Clemson University. Dr. Woodard, earned a doctoral degree in Adult Education with a focus in Human Resources Organizational Development from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Woodard was awarded the Women Putting Their Stamp on Atlanta Award by the United States Postal Service, honored with the Heart of Giving Award by Phi Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and recognized among Unsung Heroines by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter for her work with I Am B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.

In addition to volunteering with I Am BEAUTIFUL, Dr. Woodard enjoys reading, playing piano, and participating in various sports. She resides in Gwinnett County, Georgia with her husband and two beautiful daughters.ed.

Zenobia C. Edwards, Ed.D.

From science teacher to alternative school principal, and business owner, Dr. Edwards’ 10 years of education administration experience has helped propel her as one of the leading authorities on school leadership and program development; especially as it relates to at risk students. As an educational and personal development consultant, she shows individuals and educational institutions how to become more effective.
